Real Extra Virgin Olive is shining!

Real EVOO is a rare to find delicacy. It doesn’t take long for an aware consumer to love the spiciness and the slightly bitter aftertaste and the grassy smell of it. Low quality olive oil instead, might taste greasy, rancid, flavourless, or just not pleasant. Good olive oil—real extra virgin olive oil—should smell and taste green, bright, peppery, grassy, or any combination thereof. Oil does not improve over time but can maintain its characteristics excellently if filtered and stored in glass or stainless-steel containers, that are always clean, dark or protected from direct sunlight and kept in a cool place at a stable temperature (12-15°C) free from any type of smell.

Our Podere

Since 1985, our olive farm in second generation, (they call it “Podere” down here), rewards us with joy and purposeful work. We live on the hills, in the province of Pistoia in northern Tuscany surrounded by uncontaminated nature. We decided to move to the countryside as soon as we became parents of our first daughter. Now we have three children and still love this work. Thanks to our respect for nature and to a continuous improvement of our skills, our olives produce an award-winning Extra Virgin Olive Oil of the highest quality.

HEALTH BENEFITS OF EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL

Real Extra Virgin Olive oil may be one of the healthiest foods you can eat for heart health: it reduces blood pressure and inflammation, protects LDL particles from oxidation, and may help prevent unwanted blood clotting. The oleic acid in extra virgin olive oil is also highly resistant to oxidation and has been shown to have beneficial effects on genes linked to cancer. It is very high in monounsaturated fats (is fairly resistant to high heat) and contains a modest amount of vitamins E and K. True extra virgin olive oil is loaded with antioxidants, some of which have powerful health benefits.
